Instead, it delivers something closer to a high-end luxury boutique or private members’ lounge — warm, sensory, and deeply considered. The reference points span from Seoul’s premium skincare flagships to Parisian concept stores, filtered through a distinctly contemporary Singaporean lens.
This NTU auditorium trades institutional coldness for warmth and drama — a sweeping timber batten ceiling, cream boucle seating, and a full-width LED stage create a concert-hall experience for academic life, while bold primary-coloured booth pods tucked against a volcanic rock wall remind you this is a space designed for curious, energetic minds.

This NTU auditorium proposal is a bold reimagining of what a university event space can be warm enough to feel welcoming, dramatic enough to energise a crowd, and flexible enough to host everything from academic lectures to live performances. The timber batten ceiling alone would make it one of the most distinctive university interiors in Singapore, and the coloured booth nook ensures that even the corridor moments carry design intent and campus spirit.
